Caton Merchant House, serving over 25 years of quality care, is designed to let seniors live as independently as they can in the privacy of their own apartment. Our residents’ lives are made more enjoyable and easy with weekly housekeeping services and three dietician-approved meals a day.
Some Residents need minimal assistance in their lives while others may require more extensive assistance. Those who require extensive assistance with their activities of daily living reside on our Extended Care Unit. Those Residents receive the same amenities, however, there are more Certified Nursing Assistants available on their unit to assist with intensive needs they may have. Our residents can receive assistance with their activities of daily living, including medication administration. Our seven-days-a-week recreation calendar is full of social, spiritual, and wellness-promoting activities with a strong emphasis on supporting independence, while supporting integration into our Community.
Seventy-eight apartments are available with three floor plans. Each apartment has a private bathroom with safety features, a kitchenette with refrigerator, telephone and cable television hook-ups, wall-to-wall carpeting in the bedroom and living areas, two emergency call cords, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning units and many other amenities. Residents have the freedom to personalize their living quarters as they wish.
Caton Merchant House offers an advanced video surveillance security system for the safety of the Residents and their guests. There is also an integrated phone and emergency call system with our staff, on-site laundry services, a Beauty Shop, physician’s office, and multiple recreation rooms.
